bibbidi-bobbidi-BOO!

(dress-Madewell, belt- Vintage)

Hip-Hip-Hooray for Halloween!
Do you like my pumpkin dress, Xena Warrior princess crown,  colorful feather mask and glitter party sparkles?!?!
Dressing up is so much fun.  But costumes and glitter makes everything SO much MORE fun.

Kitty Kitty

Feeling inspired by the whimsical and magical elements of Halloween.
Thought it would be fun to weave in some costume pieces into my outfits to get the festivities rolling for the spookiest and most enchanting Holiday to come.
My 60's graphic knit skirt and top combo made me feel like a kitty (or cat woman) with the studded belt, studded leather boots and silver choker.
MEOW!!!
Stay tuned for more Halloween inspired outfits this week!

Blue Grass

Wanted to share a few fun pics from the Blue Grass Fest in San Francisco.
The Fish Eye Lens makes everything look crazy, 90's cool.
Highlight of the festival was seeing Ryan Bingham and his hotness and amazing talent in the flesh.
A few other highlights were dancing with my sister, drinking wine in the park, shaking my maraca to the music and of course watching a psychedelic hippie man dance freely in his boxers when no music was playing.  San Francisco rocks!

Treasure Island

This weekend I got to go to the Treasure Island Music Festival which was super fun.
I went with Jennie and we had a whirlwind of fun from the second we got on the shuttle to go there.  The shuttle was more like a party  bus-- blasting Prince through the speakers was clearly a good sign that the day was going to be awesome. As soon as we got there I had to get my face painted.  We also got to shop at the Crossroads Trading Co. booth and participate in my ultimate favorite thing to do--crafts!
The Workshop had a whole DIY tent where people could make friendship bracelets, spirt masks, beer koozies and dream catchers.
We learned how to make dream catchers which was magical and fun.
Shopping at Crossroads, face paint, DIY dreamcatchers, pizza, beer and live music was what the day entailed--what more could a girl ask for?!

The Polka Dot Trot

(dress- Vintage via Chick-A-Boom Vintage similar here / here / here, tights- Commando, hat-50's Vintage similar here / here, shoes- Vince Camuto similar here / here, suitcase- Vintage similar here)

Photos by the lovely photographer and my dear friend Lydia Hudgens.

Polka Dot time is my favorite time!
Gee wiz I am delighted by the polka dot trend this Fall / Winter.
It is impossible not to feel cheery in a polka dot print--so I added polka dot tights to my polka dot dress and added in my Vintage circular suitcase to keep the dot theme running.
I wanted to play with scale so found these awesome large polka dot tights the really complemented the Navy 60's Vintage shirt dress.
I love how Lydia captured this outfit as the feeling and mood is exactly what I was looking for: Gypsy 60's circus lady traveling through the forest with a Charlie Chaplin quality from an old fashioned silent film.

My Magical Place

(dress-H&M similar here, shoes-Halogen similar here,bag-DI, necklace-J.Crew, hat-Vintage,belt-J.Crew,)

All these pictures were taken at my favorite secret spot which has all of these magical gardens in one place.
Starting to transition my Summer pieces into more appropriate Fall pieces.
That is why I paired this floral black dress with black shoes/hat to make it more festive for Fall.

With Envy

(dress-old BCBG similar style here , shoes-Jeffrey Campbell buy here, hat-Vintage buy similar here, necklace-Vintage, velvet choker-DIY, accessories-J.Crew/Vintage/Banana Republic)

Photos by the lovely and incredibly awesome Lydia Hudgens.

This dress is a few years old--but hey, why not make the old new again?
The whimsical, spiderwebby velvet swirls on the chiffon make this dress a perfect piece for Fall.
Not to mention wearing a green dress is sort of fun since this is the only green dress I own.
To tie in the velvet on the dress I cut a piece of velvet ribbon to make a little DIY choker--easy as pie!
Cheers to Fall and all the beautiful tones in nature and fashion that come with this lovely season.

Zig-Zag-Pop

(top-Missoni for Target, sweater-Urban Outfitters, skirt-Zara, bag-Coach, shoes-Vintage via Chick-A-Boom Vintage, hat-Vintage, necklace-J.Crew, bracelets-J.Crew)

Love this Missoni for Target Tshirt--not only is their classic zig zag incredibly fun and pop-y in the black and white, but the fabric is yummy delicious comfortable.
I'm so excited by these red leather boots from Chick-A-Boom Vintage.  I think they will provide the perfect pop for Fall outfits.
