One Million Acts of Kindness

sweater-J.Crew (similar here, here and here, leather jacket- Theory, skirt- Anthropologie, bag- Coach, shoes- Vince Camuto (similar here, and these are super cute here), sunglasses- Prada

The other day Jennie and I stumbled upon this awesome peace van which is a part of the official peace movement, one million acts of kindness.
It was pretty awesome to get inspired by Bob, who has now dedicated his life to driving around in this van to challenge everyone he meets to perform one million acts of kindness in their lives.
I even go to take some pics with his adorable dog/mascot Bogart who is the cutest Boston Terrier ever in his rainbow sweater!
So in the spirit of all this kindness, spread some love today and relish all that is good in this world

Peace & Love!

My film debut in Holiday Dresses from LuLus.com

This is my glamorous debut to the film world!!!
I am SO thrilled to share with you this video I made featuring LuLus.com dresses!!!

LuLu*s sent me four amazing dresses and I couldn't help to want to get creative and do something extra special to show them off.
Since I absolutely have the Holiday spirit right now, I instantly envisioned the concept of a Holiday inspired fashion video with a Vintage touch.
The dresses can be styled in unique ways, so I knew four little vignettes would be a fun and whimsical way to debut the dresses.
The inspiration for the video came from many things: Vintage and Retro Holiday outfits, nostalgic memories, the 50s and 60s, Woody Allen's quirkiness, old fashioned silent films and  of course the Christmas spirit.

All dresses c/o LuLus.com. Visit their site to get these amazing dresses and more here.

I couldn't have done this video with the help of the super talented Andy and Danielle.
Andrew Provost filmed, directed and edited this video.
He did an AMAZING job and I am so thankful for his creative talent.
Danielle Le Brun (my sister) helped with artistic direction during the shoot to add that extra sparkle.

We had so much fun making this video together!!!

Stay tuned for outfit posts in these dresses and more Holiday styling tips.

Keep it Cozy

scarf- Ann Taylor Loft (similar here and here, sweater- Gap , leather jacket- Theory, cord leggings - Gap, heels- Vince Camuto, sunnies - Crossroads Trading Co, gloves- H&M (an awesome pair of gloves here), bag-Urban Outfitters

Trying to stay cozy in warm layers as it has been freeeeezing in San Francisco lately.
I pretty much can't take off my Theory leather jacket these days.
My new favorite accessory are these H&M gloves which add a great city chic element to any outfit and are also incredibly functional to keep warm!

I wanted to share a couple fun things with you.
I have been featured in the NY Times Street Style section the past couple weeks, so check it out here, here and here.
And get to know me a bit more over at Smashion.com where they interviewed me here.

and P.S. I have a very exciting post to share with you this week!

Holiday Party

(dress from Crossroads (this style is pretty cute here), bag- Coach, shoes- I.N.C (this studded pump is cute here), velvet/fur shrug- Vintage, watch- Michael Kors)

This is what I wore to the Crossroads Holiday Party.  I picked up this sparkly number when I stopped by Crossroads to style my mannequin.  And guess what???? It was only $10!!!!
The party was SO much fun!  Crossroads had their Bay Area stores gather their finest product to bring to the party so everyone could shop the best of the best.  There was a DJ, bar with Champagne and all, polaroid photo booth and lots of amazing Crossroads treasures to shop!  I had so much fun with my blogger friends and the Crossroads crew and snagged quite a few awesome goodies for myself!
More pics from the event below, and hop on over to Crossroads blog for more pics from the event here.
Me and my partner in crime Jennie , indulging in a jazz hands moment.
Me and my mannequin.
I went for dots and spots and dots.  Lots of layers and textures for that extra cozy oomph.
Funky, girly, edgy would sum up the look.
The mannequin I styled is definitely something I would wear for a fun day to night look.  We were supposed to do a 'Holiday' look. The foundation of the outfit is the gold and black strapless polka dot dress.  I love the textures in the marled yarn over sized sweater, and I added a leather jacket underneath to layer and keep cozy.  Since I love to accessorize, I couldn't believe I found a polka dot scarf and belt.  Once I had all the dot pieces together and saw how they played off of each other in a fun way, I knew I had to stick with the dot theme.  I loved the Wintery feel of the leopard hat and how it went with the dot theme in a 'spot' way.  I would totally wear this outfit day to night (and in my ideal Holiday day) out to brunch with my girlfriends, then ice skating and then to a fun happy hour and then a Holiday play in downtown SF.

The party was super fun!
Let the Holiday festivities keep coming!

Bow Tie

(top- J.Crew, bow tie- Vintage, skirt- Urban Outfitters, belt- Vintage, necklace- Anthropologie, ring old Banana Republic, bracelet J.Crew, watch Michael Kors)

Totally into bow ties right now.
Snagged this Vintage Bow Tie while shopping in the Mission with Jennie.
I have decided I want to start a Vintage bow tie collection, not that I need an excuse for another 'collection'.
Glad I am finding new ways to wear this old Urban Outfitters skirt.
Black and white stripes always remind of Tim Burton and Dr. Seuss, so that my friends is why this skirt will never leave my closet.
