Color Block in my LuLus.com Dress!

dress- c/o LuLus.com, shoes- Zara, necklace-Anthropologie, stacked rings- Nordstrom, earrings-Vintage, flower hair clips- J.Crew, bracelets- Forever21, sunglasses- CrossroadsTrading Co., Guatemalan bag-Baksheesh

I have to say I was beyond pleased with the fit of this dress!  I mean, what girl doesn't want a flattering dress to feel great?  I adore the subtle heart shaped neckline and how it is nicely fitted through the bust and torso.  This dress has so much to love about it--color blocking, knife pleats on the skirt and a layered ruffled hem underneath--swoon!  Not to mention the dress comes with the yellow belt too.
I love how flirty this dress is and the hidden ruffled layered hem makes me want to twirl around and show it off.
Check out LuLus.com for so many more amazing, flirty, on-trend and affordable dresses here.

Cut. It. Out. (in my LuLus.com dress)

dress- c/o LuLus, belt/earrings/bangle- Forever 21, shoes- Zara, bag- gift from Australia, sunglasses-Urban Outfitters, jacket- Theory, necklace- Vintage

This 'paper snowflake' dress from LuLus.com is so cool.
Cut out details are definitely trending...so be on the lookout for cool new and innovative ways of this detail out there.
It was my sister Danielle who brought to my attention that the 'cut out' was a huge trend after we looked at a handful of fancy foreign magazines.
We flipped through about a dozen magazines and pulled out trends that we saw repeated over and over.
I'lI to share some of the other trends we collected in another post.
I love how the fit of the dress is quite simple, but the detailed cut outs along the neckline, back, sleeves and hemline make it so interesting.
Here are some more dresses with the cut out trend from LulLu's here, here and here.

Confetti & Sequins & Sparkles (in my Lulus.com dress)

Sequin dress c/o Lulus.com, heels- Vince Camuto, belt- 80s Vintage, tights- Nordstrom

This dress the 'shooting star striped sequin dress' from Lulus.com has been the perfect party dress for me this Holiday season.  I am excited to get more wears out of this dress and wear it out in the city for dinner dates with my girlfriends and nights out where we want to hit the town and maybe get our dance on in the Mission.
I love that this dress is super flashy and bold with the allover striped sequins, however the fit is rather modest which makes the dress more flattering and fun and less over-the-top in a you know, less tasteful manner.
Hey, just because the Holiday's are over doesn't mean you can't keep wearing sparkles and sequins.
And since it is a New Year where we all have a fresh start and clean slate with new goals we want to achieve, why not throw some confetti and call it a celebration!
