Spring Fling

Jacket- Chick-A-Boom! Vintage, skirt- Madewell, top/bracelet/necklace- J.Crew, shoes- H&M, bag- Loui Vuitton, sunnies- Retro Super Future

I have been loving Spring and the color combos that come to mind when thinking of the adventure this season resembles.

Lemon Lime

Love the bright, the color, the pastel and the print trends going on right now for Spring and Summer.  Pairing a refreshing blend of citrus hues definitely got me in the mood for sunshine on a cold San Francisco day (notice the goose bumps in the detail shot?).
Since the minimalist in me pretty much doesn't exist (at all), I have a hard time committing completely to one monochromatic color palette--hence my multi colored belt and 80s Vintage crazy colored print purse.
What are your favorite trends for Summer right now?

Baby, it's cold outside!

skirt-Anthropologie, trench- Banana Republic, jacket/top/necklace- J.Crew, scarf- Madewell, shoes- Crossroads Trading Co, bag- Louis Vuitton

Well, the Spring showers sure have come to visit San Francisco in full force.
Something about the rainy weather makes me want to be a preppy little polished lady even though it's wet outside.

First Day of Spring!

Happy First Day of Spring!
My mom picked up this amazingly special and quite costumey 60s blossom hat at the Alameda Antique Fair.  My mom being a talented floral designer and owning her own floral business was naturally drawn to this dramatic Vintage hat filled with lovely blossoms.
Don't you just love Spring and when Cherry Blossoms bloom all over the land?  But Cherry Blossoms are such a tease since they only grace us with their beauty for a short time.  How gorgeous is this cherry blossom lane that matched perfectly with my hat?

Neon and Pastel

skirt- J.Crew, top- Madewell, belt-J.Crew, necklace/purse-Chick-A-Boom! Vintage, tights- Nordstrom, hat-1950s Vintage, bracelet-J.Crew

Could NOT resist taking some photos in this gorgeous mustard field in Napa where you could frolic in the field full of knee deep neon amazingness.
Sort of love how the mustard is so neon when packed together...and a great complement to my neon top from Madewell.  Digging the neon and pastel trend right now and think pairing them together or separate is so beautiful and feminine.
Happy Friday and I hope you have an amazing weekend!

Color Block in my LuLus.com Dress!

dress- c/o LuLus.com, shoes- Zara, necklace-Anthropologie, stacked rings- Nordstrom, earrings-Vintage, flower hair clips- J.Crew, bracelets- Forever21, sunglasses- CrossroadsTrading Co., Guatemalan bag-Baksheesh

I have to say I was beyond pleased with the fit of this dress!  I mean, what girl doesn't want a flattering dress to feel great?  I adore the subtle heart shaped neckline and how it is nicely fitted through the bust and torso.  This dress has so much to love about it--color blocking, knife pleats on the skirt and a layered ruffled hem underneath--swoon!  Not to mention the dress comes with the yellow belt too.
I love how flirty this dress is and the hidden ruffled layered hem makes me want to twirl around and show it off.
Check out LuLus.com for so many more amazing, flirty, on-trend and affordable dresses here.

Spring is Sweet

top- J.Crew, skirt- bought in Italy years ago, bag-Louis Vuitton, shoes- BCBG (old), earrings- Vintage,
necklace-J.Crew

Fun fact- I got this skirt about ten years ago when I went on a family trip to Italy.  For some reason I kept it all these years and could never part with it, even though I haven't worn in the last ten years until now.  This skirt happens to be super on trend right now with the graphic floral and geometric combination...I'm so glad I kept it!
I'm loving sweet colors and print combinations right now.  Nothing feels more appropriate for Spring than some sugary sweet candy-coated colors mixed together to create a girly and feminine concoction.  Mixing floral prints in my shawl and skirt also give the look a sweet and cozy layered feel.  I don't know about you but I am so looking forward to warmer weather this Spring!

For those of you not from San Francisco, these photos were taken at the Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco which is a magical and beautiful place--one of my city favorites!
