Denim Dots

jeans- Current Elliott, shoes- Stuart Weitzman, top- Urban Outfitters, chambray top- Madewell, jacket-Gap, bag- Louis Vuitton

Simple. Casual. Practical.
That is how I would describe this look.
Loving the printed denim trend, and of course couldn't pass up some denim with dots.
Don't you love my tippy toes?

Loving the Retro/Varsity/Collegiate looks going on right now for Summer and Fall.
All American fresh is always a good look.
And how cute is this Letterman jacket from Forever 21 with the leopard lining? ...and it was on a Buy One Get One Free promo so I bought my sister one too of course!

I have been loving Spring and the color combos that come to mind when thinking of the adventure this season resembles.

Love the bright, the color, the pastel and the print trends going on right now for Spring and Summer.  Pairing a refreshing blend of citrus hues definitely got me in the mood for sunshine on a cold San Francisco day (notice the goose bumps in the detail shot?).
Since the minimalist in me pretty much doesn't exist (at all), I have a hard time committing completely to one monochromatic color palette--hence my multi colored belt and 80s Vintage crazy colored print purse.
What are your favorite trends for Summer right now?

Baby, it's cold outside!

skirt-Anthropologie, trench- Banana Republic, jacket/top/necklace- J.Crew, scarf- Madewell, shoes- Crossroads Trading Co, bag- Louis Vuitton

Well, the Spring showers sure have come to visit San Francisco in full force.
Something about the rainy weather makes me want to be a preppy little polished lady even though it's wet outside.

First Day of Spring!

Happy First Day of Spring!
My mom picked up this amazingly special and quite costumey 60s blossom hat at the Alameda Antique Fair.  My mom being a talented floral designer and owning her own floral business was naturally drawn to this dramatic Vintage hat filled with lovely blossoms.
Don't you just love Spring and when Cherry Blossoms bloom all over the land?  But Cherry Blossoms are such a tease since they only grace us with their beauty for a short time.  How gorgeous is this cherry blossom lane that matched perfectly with my hat?

Silver on Silver

top/skirt- Gap, shoes-Zara, scarf- Miu Miu, sunglasses-Prada, necklace- Anthropologie, earrings Vintage, bracelet-gift, hat-Forever 21

Silver on Silver feels absolutely fresh and modern to me right now, and I love the monochromatic trend going on.  Something about committing to a color palette takes discipline, so I couldn't help to accessorize the silver with vibrant colors that popped off of the cool-metal hue.
It was a magical moment at Ocean Beach in San Francisco where there was hardly anyone there with the wind blazing--except for a large group of Monks.  They stood out in their bright orange traditional attire sprinkled throughout the sprawling beach.  It looked beautiful and their demeanor was of course reflective, calm and friendly--exactly how one feels when placed in front of the magnetic ocean.

A rad dress & a nod to the 90s

Photos by the lovely and talented Sarah Jehan

It was such a pleasure to get to work with the lovely and talented photographer Sarah Jehan—she is so fun, cool and great to work with!  We both have an affinity for anything 90s grunge, so with that thread in common I made sure my outfit gave a nod to one of our favorite fashion decades.
This red and black chevron dress from Crossroads Trading Co is soooooo rad.  I love the details in the dress—it’s sheer with the slip underneath being short above the knee so you can see through it from mid thigh down.  The amazing print on this dress makes a statement all on its own.  However, with my natural inclination to over-accessorize I had to layer on a denim studded vest, silver collar necklace and lots of bangles and rings…and voila the outfit is complete!
