A rad dress & a nod to the 90s

dress- Crossroads Trading Co, denim vest- Forever 21, bracelets-J.Crew/Vintage, shoes- Halogen, hat-Vintage, necklace-Bloomingdale's

Photos by the lovely and talented Sarah Jehan

It was such a pleasure to get to work with the lovely and talented photographer Sarah Jehan—she is so fun, cool and great to work with!  We both have an affinity for anything 90s grunge, so with that thread in common I made sure my outfit gave a nod to one of our favorite fashion decades.
This red and black chevron dress from Crossroads Trading Co is soooooo rad.  I love the details in the dress—it’s sheer with the slip underneath being short above the knee so you can see through it from mid thigh down.  The amazing print on this dress makes a statement all on its own.  However, with my natural inclination to over-accessorize I had to layer on a denim studded vest, silver collar necklace and lots of bangles and rings…and voila the outfit is complete!

Keep it Cozy

Trying to stay cozy in warm layers as it has been freeeeezing in San Francisco lately.
I pretty much can't take off my Theory leather jacket these days.
My new favorite accessory are these H&M gloves which add a great city chic element to any outfit and are also incredibly functional to keep warm!

I wanted to share a couple fun things with you.
I have been featured in the NY Times Street Style section the past couple weeks, so check it out here, here and here.
And get to know me a bit more over at Smashion.com where they interviewed me here.

and P.S. I have a very exciting post to share with you this week!

Holiday Party

(dress from Crossroads (this style is pretty cute here), bag- Coach, shoes- I.N.C (this studded pump is cute here), velvet/fur shrug- Vintage, watch- Michael Kors)

This is what I wore to the Crossroads Holiday Party.  I picked up this sparkly number when I stopped by Crossroads to style my mannequin.  And guess what???? It was only $10!!!!
The party was SO much fun!  Crossroads had their Bay Area stores gather their finest product to bring to the party so everyone could shop the best of the best.  There was a DJ, bar with Champagne and all, polaroid photo booth and lots of amazing Crossroads treasures to shop!  I had so much fun with my blogger friends and the Crossroads crew and snagged quite a few awesome goodies for myself!
More pics from the event below, and hop on over to Crossroads blog for more pics from the event here.

Me and my mannequin.
I went for dots and spots and dots.  Lots of layers and textures for that extra cozy oomph.
Funky, girly, edgy would sum up the look.
The mannequin I styled is definitely something I would wear for a fun day to night look.  We were supposed to do a 'Holiday' look. The foundation of the outfit is the gold and black strapless polka dot dress.  I love the textures in the marled yarn over sized sweater, and I added a leather jacket underneath to layer and keep cozy.  Since I love to accessorize, I couldn't believe I found a polka dot scarf and belt.  Once I had all the dot pieces together and saw how they played off of each other in a fun way, I knew I had to stick with the dot theme.  I loved the Wintery feel of the leopard hat and how it went with the dot theme in a 'spot' way.  I would totally wear this outfit day to night (and in my ideal Holiday day) out to brunch with my girlfriends, then ice skating and then to a fun happy hour and then a Holiday play in downtown SF.

The party was super fun!
Let the Holiday festivities keep coming!

I heart Crossroads Trading Co

(dress- Forever 21, chiffon button down- American Apparel, shoes- Vince Camuto, bag- Coach, sunglasses- Prada, watch- Michael Kors, necklace- Bloomingdale's)

I am so thrilled and honored that Crossroads asked me to style a mannequin for their Holiday party tonight!  I go to Crossroads quite frequently to buy/sell/trade, so I can't express the excitement I have to style a mannequin in a Holiday theme for their Holiday party!
Jennie and I went to the Crossroads Fillmore location to style our mannequins.  We ran around the store grabbing all sorts of treasures from shoes, to hand bags, to dresses, to coats, sweaters, accessories and so much more.  After several iterations of outfits we finally landed our looks.
I am so excited for my first Holiday party of the year tonight, super excited I will have a mannequin styled and featured at the party and even more excited to party down with the Crossroads team and other fab ladies and bloggers.
