You're Invited: A PoshMark Party in San Francisco!

I'm opening my closet tomorrow at Acre SF for a Posh Party where you to come shop with me along with some other lovely lady bloggers Jennie, Mira, Natalie and Anne.
If you haven't heard of PoshMark then download the free app on your phone right now or learn more about it here!
I have become truly addicted.  Basically it's an app that allows you to sell your clothes from your phone.  All you have to do is take a pic of that dress you are ready to let go of, upload it on PoshMark and create a little posting with the product details.  What's great is that you get to sell the item at the price YOU want to retail it for.  It's as easy as pie.  The best part is you can do this from anywhere and don't even have to leave home to sell your clothes!
The theme for the party tomorrow is party dresses, so come say hi and get dressed up for a fun little girl's night.  And if you can't make it then shop with us right from your phone!
And P.S. I just might be selling that pretty LF dress below live at the party!

The Perfect Skirt from LuLus.com

skirt- c/o Lulus.com, shoes- Jeffrey Campbell, top-RGB gallery in SF, earrings- Forever 21, fringe bag- c/o Rad and Refined, necklaces- J.Crew/Banana Republic, stone necklace- Mira Mira SF

I am absolutely in love with this high/low skirt, the Raid the Braid Royal Blue Skirt from LuLus.com.  This royal blue is stunning and it was definitely a color that popped up allover the runways this past NYFW for Fall this year--which makes it even more of a reason to love since you can essentially wear it all year!  I love the way this silhouette moves when you walk--tons of attitude with the tail in the back flowing as your strut.  I think this silhouette is universally flattering as you get to show off a hint of your leg with the short hemline in the front, while creating a nice shape with the extended length in the back.

Neon and Pastel

skirt- J.Crew, top- Madewell, belt-J.Crew, necklace/purse-Chick-A-Boom! Vintage, tights- Nordstrom, hat-1950s Vintage, bracelet-J.Crew

Could NOT resist taking some photos in this gorgeous mustard field in Napa where you could frolic in the field full of knee deep neon amazingness.
Sort of love how the mustard is so neon when packed together...and a great complement to my neon top from Madewell.  Digging the neon and pastel trend right now and think pairing them together or separate is so beautiful and feminine.
Happy Friday and I hope you have an amazing weekend!

Printed Pants in New York

pants- Motel Rocks via Mira Mira SF, Peplum top- H&M, scarf- Forever 21, shoes- Joie, bag- Coach, sunglasses- Prada, gloves- H&M, necklace-J.Crew

Photos by Lydia Hudgens

I wore this outfit when I was in New York last week (for work) which had to be the most freezing cold day while I was there.  I took the red eye into NY immediately went to the West Village to meet Jennie, Lydia, Eliot, Christina and Caylee for a delicious brunch (fabulous ladies indeed!).  We sat and talked for hours, and then when we were done with brunch we walked to a cafe to get some dessert and coffee and chit chat some more.  We literally ate and chatted the day away from noon until 5, and I have to say it was an incredibly lovely and relaxing way to spend a day in  New York with great company!

Let's now talk about how awesome this little moon and star print is on these pants--so fun!  I  got them at the SF favorite Mira Mira shop in SF.  You can read about Mira's favorite trends here in this awesome Refinery29 article.

Color Block in my LuLus.com Dress!

dress- c/o LuLus.com, shoes- Zara, necklace-Anthropologie, stacked rings- Nordstrom, earrings-Vintage, flower hair clips- J.Crew, bracelets- Forever21, sunglasses- CrossroadsTrading Co., Guatemalan bag-Baksheesh

I have to say I was beyond pleased with the fit of this dress!  I mean, what girl doesn't want a flattering dress to feel great?  I adore the subtle heart shaped neckline and how it is nicely fitted through the bust and torso.  This dress has so much to love about it--color blocking, knife pleats on the skirt and a layered ruffled hem underneath--swoon!  Not to mention the dress comes with the yellow belt too.
I love how flirty this dress is and the hidden ruffled layered hem makes me want to twirl around and show it off.
Check out LuLus.com for so many more amazing, flirty, on-trend and affordable dresses here.

Rad and Refined

first image via Rad and Refined LookBook.   Second image bag c/o Rad and Refined.  Third image via Rad and Refined LookBook.

Hello friends!
I want to introduce to you one of my rad sponsors and a very cool new online store called, Rad and Refined.   This online shop has a cool mix of  apparel and accessories that are Vintage or modern brands such as  Mink Pink, Wildfox Couture and sunglasses from Opening Ceremony.  Jacqueline Rezak is a 24 year old genius who started this online shop...and let me tell you her own personality along with the site is full of spunk, and of course rad imagery.  I absolutely love these cool images she uses in her lookbook while incorporating bright colors and graphic geometric shapes into the image--they are super fresh and creative!
I LOVE this leather fringe bag from Rad and Refined.  It is exactly what I need as an edgy, stylish and funky (or I guess I should say RAD) bag.  I have already worn this bag so much and it is perfect for nights out or on the weekends.  It reminds me of the ultimate bag to wear to concerts and outdoor music festivals...and now that I have the bag I need to follow through with one of my new year's resolutions... to go to more concerts (hehe).

Get to know Jacqueline Rezak behind Rad and Refined below with some questions she answered for me.
What motivated you to start Rad and Refined?
I have always loved expressing my creativity through art which included of course fashion. I studied fashion and journalism in college and that is when I started my blog which was influenced by my favorite styles of rad combined with refined. From there I moved from Chicago to LA where I have been lucky enough to work with celebrity stylists, photographers, make up artists etc. Once I settled into LA I began my online store Rad and Refined which is based on my blog idea. It combines the two styles together in one store.
Your graphics are super catchy and awesome. What is your inspiration behind these memorable images?
I style the images that go onto our graphics, photos taken by two amazing photographers- Tory Mundkowsky and Vijat Mohindra. From there I work with my web designer to make sure our photos capture the idea of being and looking Rad while still being identifiable with all women.
What are you most excited about with Rad and Refined?
There is so much to be excited about! Things have been moving along so quickly, but I love using my style inspiration of rad and refined and putting the actual style in my head to life through the site and photos.

AND GUESS WHAT?
Rad and Refined is offering Hourglass readers 15% off your entire purchase!

Spring is Sweet

top- J.Crew, skirt- bought in Italy years ago, bag-Louis Vuitton, shoes- BCBG (old), earrings- Vintage,
necklace-J.Crew

Fun fact- I got this skirt about ten years ago when I went on a family trip to Italy.  For some reason I kept it all these years and could never part with it, even though I haven't worn in the last ten years until now.  This skirt happens to be super on trend right now with the graphic floral and geometric combination...I'm so glad I kept it!
I'm loving sweet colors and print combinations right now.  Nothing feels more appropriate for Spring than some sugary sweet candy-coated colors mixed together to create a girly and feminine concoction.  Mixing floral prints in my shawl and skirt also give the look a sweet and cozy layered feel.  I don't know about you but I am so looking forward to warmer weather this Spring!

For those of you not from San Francisco, these photos were taken at the Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco which is a magical and beautiful place--one of my city favorites!

Queen of Hearts

dress- c/o Kaj.Ani, fringe shawl/hair bows- Forever 21, shoes- hand me down from mom, necklace-Vintage

Photos by Danielle LeBrun

This painted silk dress designed by Kaj.Ani is so incredibly cool and versatile.  It can go from sweet and feminine to edgy girly grunge with black ankle motorcycle boots and a fringe black shawl.  Ani is a very talented designer who hand made this lovely dress, and you can shop her site here.

Here is what the photographer (and my sister) has to say about this look.
This was our (Andy + Me) favorite look and scene! We pulled inspiration from Sophia Coppola films like Marie Antoinette, the glossy pages of Nylon Mag, Alice in Wonderland and the concept of a 90's hilltop tea-party. Jackie captured the vision perfectly in her styling and natural sugar&spice personality! We had quite an experience during this scene - the sun was literally setting as we frantically designed the set and captured shots - but it came together perfectly right at magic hour. It was an exciting rush shooting this look - a perfect way to end our 90s Rad Bad Valentine LookBook!

Check out our motion picture lookbook here, and the other sets of stills here, here and here.
Happy Valentine's Day! Hope your and heart day is filled with love today and always!

Wild at Heart

tights- Urban Outfitters, shoes- c/o LuLus.com, lace top/denim vest- Forever 21, cream lace top-Banana Republic, black sequin skirt/beanie- borrowed from my sister, heart sunglasses- Wasteland, belt- Vintage

Photography by Danielle LeBrun (my rad and talented sister)

This look and concept was heavily influenced by the skater craze of the 90s, a nd believe it or not I was even a skater girl myself in the 90s.  I didn't do much other than chill and skate around on my awesome board with Venture light trucks, but back then I thought I was pretty rad whenever I was skating around.
Danielle helped assist styling this outfit to make sure it was pulled together and fit well with the other looks in our motion picture lookbook.
I love these crazy floral print tights and how the Lulu*s sparkly insane platforms give the outfit a very skater-Harajuku feel.  This part of the video was all about having fun and being young and crazy and care free.  Back in the day we all did a lot of hanging around parking lots, going to 7-11 to get slurpees and hanging with our homies...but most of all having fun together.

In case you were wondering... the dude in the photos is the mastermind cinematographer/director behind our motion picture lookbook, and he also happens to be my sister's loving boyfriend...Hi Andrew!

Check out our motion picture lookbook here, and the other sets of stills here and here.
Stay tuned for one more set of stills from our Valentine inspired video.
