Holiday Party

This is what I wore to the Crossroads Holiday Party.  I picked up this sparkly number when I stopped by Crossroads to style my mannequin.  And guess what???? It was only $10!!!!

The party was SO much fun!  Crossroads had their Bay Area stores gather their finest product to bring to the party so everyone could shop the best of the best.  There was a DJ, bar with Champagne and all, polaroid photo booth and lots of amazing Crossroads treasures to shop!  I had so much fun with my blogger friends and the Crossroads crew and snagged quite a few awesome goodies for myself!

I went for dots and spots and dots.  Lots of layers and textures for that extra cozy oomph. 

 Funky, girly, edgy would sum up the look.

The mannequin I styled is definitely something I would wear for a fun day to night look.  We were supposed to do a 'Holiday' look. The foundation of the outfit is the gold and black strapless polka dot dress.  I love the textures in the marled yarn over sized sweater, and I added a leather jacket underneath to layer and keep cozy.  Since I love to accessorize, I couldn't believe I found a polka dot scarf and belt.  Once I had all the dot pieces together and saw how they played off of each other in a fun way, I knew I had to stick with the dot theme.  I loved the Wintery feel of the leopard hat and how it went with the dot theme in a 'spot' way.  I would totally wear this outfit day to night (and in my ideal Holiday day) out to brunch with my girlfriends, then ice skating and then to a fun happy hour and then a Holiday play in downtown SF.

The party was super fun!

Dead Head

I love this Grateful Dead Tshirt I got from Wasteland on Haight St. when I had my day of shopping and being a tourist in my own city as seen in this post here.

I was in 6th grade when I was introduced to the Grateful Dead and would be singing songs like 'Casey Jone's' not knowing what the lyrics meant.

I was inspired by Sincerely Jules to layer on accessories to glam up a vintage Tshirt from her post here.

This vintage skirt I got at a thrift store reminds me of rainbows, and sometimes rainbows remind me of the Rolling Stones.

 The foggy weather in SF is making weekend days feel dreamy and calm.  I adore this floral shawl I got from Wasteland on Haight Street in SF.  It can be worn in the winter or spring with its icy, fresh colors.  A fun shawl is the perfect piece to wear to stay cozy and chic on a foggy day at the beach.

Lucky Leopard

I picked this amazing leopard top up at CrossRoads in SF this past summer.  I couldn't believe I scored a Nanette Lepore top for $25!  This woven leopard top was a gem to find since it is versatile and seasonless.  

Here are all the reasons I love this top:
-leopard with a twist: leopard is always classic but in these grey tones with pops of teal, this leopard is unique and fun.

-versatile: I went for an edgier urban look for this outfit, but I have paired this top with teal flats, pearl earrings and hair in a low messy bun to make it sweeter and more classic.

-seasonless: this top can be worn all year.  Paired with the right bottoms and colors this top is appropriate for all seasons.

Psychedelic Afternoon

This weekend I went to the Power to the Peaceful Concert in Golden Gate Park.
Over 70,000 people were there to celebrate global peace and love through music.


Free spirit hippie dancing and of course great company with my brother, sister, boyfriend and friends made the concert a blast.
I picked up this groovy 60’s dress from Wasteland Haight Ashbury and I am obsessed with it.


When I saw it I hoped it would fit since it didn’t have a size label in it—and it fit me like a glove!


This dress was so comfortable to wear and it is impossible not to keep a smile on my face in it –the psychedelic colors and prints were definitely a hit at the concert.
 The dress even took one woman’s breath away—an older woman came over to compliment my dress and put her hand over her heart, rolled back her eyes and dropped her jaw when she found out it was a vintage 60’s dress.


I want to be a flower child and prance in a meadow bare foot playing the tambourine in this dress!
